Not just a dreamer, he had plans. He had vision.
He put his own dreams on hold to help others with theirs, to reassure them in bad times. He had integrity.
This picture would have made a great campaign poster!
Look how everyone was looking to him for guidance.
He was a natural born leader.
He sacrificed his own honeymoon to help his town in a time of crisis.
He had love...
He had family...
He had a town full of friends...
Sam Wainwright would have backed the campaign.
His brother Harry was a war hero.

I can only think of two people who wouldn't have voted for him:
Potter, of course...
and Mr. Welch, the teacher's husband, who punched George at Martini's Bar.

He would have made a wonderful Mayor! Would he have moved on to Governor, to President? Or would he have stayed in his beloved Bedford Falls? I think I would have stayed in Bedford Falls.

Buffalo gal won't you come out tonight
and dance by the light of the moon.
It really is a Wonderful Life!
Love this post, Lori! I'm going to be watching this movie at 8:00 tonight, got my TiVo set. I absolutely love their old house with rain falling through the roof in this movie.
